New Patients

Your Initial Visit

We welcome new patients and look forward to meeting you! Your first appointment at our office will consist of several diagnostic records to determine the best course of treatment. First, a complimentary panoramic x-ray as well as photos of your face and teeth will be taken. Then, the doctor will review your medical and dental history and examine your teeth, jaws and surrounding structures. This will allow us to develop a treatment plan and provide an estimated treatment fee. Once this has been established, we will request a cephalometric x-ray and articulated study models to confirm the treatment plan. All routine records are taken at our office for your convenience.

If there is an unusual condition such as TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder), there may be a fee for the exam. It is best to discuss these details when you call us.

Your Consultation

Once all the records have been reviewed, you will consult with the doctor to answer any questions, review additional records, finalize the details of your proposed treatment and review financial arrangements.

Appointments during Treatment

You will have regularly scheduled appointments during the time you have your orthodontic appliances. The initial appointment for placing braces usually lasts 1 to 2 hours and is scheduled during the morning. All other appointments are for adjustments, and are scheduled every 2 to 6 weeks. These appointments can range from 20 to 40 minutes.

Office hours are Monday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Patients are seen by appointment only. We recommend scheduling your next appointment upon check-out for more appointment options and to avoid delays in your treatment progress. If you have to cancel an appointment, please call and let us know as soon as possible. Canceling appointments may result in extending your treatment time. We strive to be on time for our patients, and ask that you please extend the same courtesy to us.
